Pipe Cutting Machine – Look at All Selections Whenever You Are Researching Ordering a Cable Strip Crimp Machine.

Yardney Water Filtration Systems is a manufacturer water filtration equipment for your agricultural, food, municipal and HVAC industries. From the 1960s, the corporation developed equipment make it possible for farmers inside the rich growing areas of Southern California to remove sand, silt, grit, algae as well as other contaminants through the water supply. Currently, wire cutters has developed more than 100,000 standard and custom engineered water filtration systems because of its various customers.

Manufacture of these systems starts by manufacturing three- to four-foot diameter pressure vessels from steel or steel, with holes to connect pipes that may move water throughout the filtration unit. A number of pipes with holes should be cut before all the pieces may be welded together then painted.

Chris Phillips, vice president and general manager of your Riverside, California-based company, says Yardney realizes its manufacturing processes must be as efficient because the water filtration systems it generates.

Recently, the corporation determined its existing plasma pipe cutting machine wasn’t providing the requisite throughput or cut quality. It had two major shortfalls. First, there wasn’t a simple way to load and unload pipes into and out of your machine, which caused a production bottleneck. Second, it left a large amount of slag that would have to be manually ground off the pipes just before welding operations. Additionally, the appliance was experiencing increasingly frequent mechanical and electrical issues, leading to high service costs and downtime.

Yardney considered various CNC plasma pipe-cutting options, ultimately choosing two Roto Hornet 1000 machines from Retro Systems with QuickPipe parametric pipe-cutting software, Hypertherm Maxpro200 air and oxygen plasma systems, and pneumatic pipe-handling systems.

The machines offered numerous advantages across the previous equipment. The Maxpro200 plasma cutting system, when combined with the Roto Hornet’s improved motion control, leaves behind basically no slag. This minimizes the quantity of manual grinding needed to prepare pipes for subsequent welding operations. Positioning speed is 1,200 ipm in comparison with 100 ipm with the previous equipment. Plus, an effective fume extraction system captures smoke at the point of the cut therefore it will not contaminate the store-keeping the company in compliance with California Air Quality Management District regulations.

Many of these features have made it feasible for Yardney to make a substantial array of pipe cutting machine inside an efficient timeframe. Some cuts, including pipe notch cuts that could took four hours using the old system, are finished in only 5 minutes.

Programming is simpler compared to the previous equipment’s DOS-based software, too. The QuickPipe parametric CAM software with graphical interface (GUI) enables the user to configure various end types and intersection types to become cut, including straight, miter, cope, slotted and branch cuts. The last equipment didn’t offer several cut shapes, so some shapes must be cut manually. To program a fresh job, the person selects a pipe diameter and wall thickness, defines the “end 1” and “end 2” cuts (for each and every pipe end), and defines any intersecting pipes per their location and orientation. NC code is automatically produced from that information.

The corporation also found that Retro Systems’ pneumatic pipe-handling system enabled operators to quickly and safely load and unload pipe to increase production. Staging racks 04dexspky full-length pipe and cut parts. As opposed to loading just one pipe at one time, the business can load a lot of money of 5 to 6 pieces at the same time. Pneumatically adjustable steel wheels improved pipe-handling efficiency and provided the flexibility to deal with pipe ranging from 1 to 14 inches in diameter while extracting smoke with the chuck.

Mr. Phillips is satisfied with the rewards this tape binding machine offers. He strongly advocates spending some time to examine one’s current manufacturing processes considering changing technology. “You have to purchase your business to keep profitable,” Mr. Phillips says. “We’ve been doing that over the past half a century, so we intend to utilize that strategy to stay in business for several years to come.”
